As we begin the new year, I’ve revisited the book Spiritual Leadership, by J. Oswald Sanders. I was struck again by chapter 21, entitled “Perils of Leadership.” In this chapter, Sanders describes some of the most common personal issues that can sidetrack or derail our leadership. Issues such as pride, jealousy, elation and depression, etc.
Each of us is fallible and is tempted as a leader. None of us is free from peril.
Is there one item on this list (see p. 153-161) that you are committed to work on this year?
What strategies are you using to address the perils in your life?
